FLINTA* Visibility in the Film & Music Industry: Nadine at Soundtrack Cologne

EventKnowledge

This year’s Soundtrack Cologne placed a strong focus on questions of representation, equality, and the working realities of FLINTA* individuals within the film and music world. Supported by Initiative Musik, the conference hosted its first-ever FLINTA*-only networking event: an important step toward creating spaces where exchange, visibility, and empowerment take center stage.

Board member Nadine participated as a speaker at this special event, highlighting the perspectives and experiences of FLINTA* professionals in the film-music sector. The gathering also sparked the formation of a new FLINTA* network dedicated to film music, in which Nadine represented the Music Women* — underscoring how vital and effective such spaces continue to be.

Since this year, Nadine has also joined the jury of the Peer Raben Award, which honors outstanding original music in short films. It marks an important opportunity to support diversity and amplify emerging artistic voices in film music.
