Female* Producer Prize 2025

MW*G NetworkEvent

The Female* Producer Prize strengthens the visibility and careers of music producers and helps break down structural barriers within the industry. Through prize money, mentoring, and a strong network, it sends an important signal for more diversity in music production.

A total of 280 people applied this year. For the first time, in addition to three producers, three songwriters were also honored at Fotografiska Berlin.

The jury consisted of Finja Nierth (Director Creative & Repertoire, Sony Music Publishing), Jules Müller (A&R Manager, Epic), Nico Rebscher (Multi-Platinum & Gold Producer/Songwriter), Philo Tsoungui (Winner of the Female* Producer Prize 2024), LINA (Gold-certified singer, songwriter, and actress), and 2ir1n (producer, artist, DJ). Here are this year's winners:

DEVADO: The German-American artist from Munich writes and produces her own feel-good urban pop songs using only her voice and body sounds. With her high-energy one-woman show, she fully embodies female empowerment! Fun fact: Disney fans will recognize her singing voice from the movie “Moana” (“Vaiana” in German).

Hanna Leess: A self-taught chanteuse, sound architect, and multi-instrumentalist, Hanna Leess embarks on an artistic odyssey, creating her own sound world filled with innovative depth and eclectic brilliance. Born in the USA and now based in Berlin, Leess has always followed an unconventional path. Her work moves effortlessly between genres, unfolding an intriguing unpredictability that defines both her songwriting and her unique take on pop music.

Morea: The Berlin-based singer-songwriter and producer blends folk, neo-soul, and indie into an intimate mix marked by emotional depth, personal honesty, and gentle yet powerful lyrics. Morea is part of the Mamasweed Music Group, where she writes, produces, and records her music in a creative and collaborative environment.

Nini Nutsubidze: The producer, songwriter, and singer from Georgia is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Creative Music Production. Her work fuses Georgian cultural heritage with R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music. She moves fluidly between DJ sets, concerts, experimental tracks, ballads, and rap. Her main artistic strengths lie in vocals, production, and arrangement.

VAVUNETTHA: The Cologne-based musician tells stories in her music that often go unheard. With her unique and catchy pop sound, she invites listeners to question and rediscover their own identity.

Ylva Brandtsegg: The Norwegian producer based in Berlin blends influences from pop, dance, and K-pop. She has written and produced in studios across Europe and the U.S. Her credits include the viral techno hit “Dornwald,” which reached number one, as well as recent collaborations with Alok and Lavern.
